What’s new in Apple iOS 16
Message service: Apple now allows you to edit or undo messages that have already been sent over iMessage. Users get 15 minutes to change the sent message or scrap it completely. Recently deleted messages can also be recovered for 30 days and users can mark opened conversations as unread.
New Maps App: Apple has also made several changes to the Maps application, which now displays several parameters, including speed, vehicle temperature, and other details. Now you can add as many stops to your route as you could with Google Maps and check public transport fares as well. Apple Maps also gets new 3D-like visuals and better integration with CarPlay.
New Lockscreen: Apple’s redesigned lock screen comes with support for widgets, customizable fonts, and a new expand view for notifications that show you more information directly from the lockscreen. With support for live activity on the lockscreen, users can also check scores and track food delivery from their lockscreen.
Apple Pay Later: A credit service, Apple Pay Later allows iOS 16 users to split the charge for Apple Pay purchases into 4 payments at no extra charge. These payments can be paid again in one go.
Other Features: Apple iOS 16 is equipped with Live Captions, Live Text Quick Actions and a new iCloud Shared Photo Library feature that lets users share photos with their family in an easy way, just by clicking on the shared photo. Moves to a different folder. However, this feature will be available by the end of this year.

- iPhone 11 Series: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max
Older iPhones include iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone SE Gen 2 and iPhone SE Gen 3.
Apple watchOS 9: Features and Supported Devices
Apple has also announced watchOS 9 which brings new changes to fitness tracking features and adds more metrics for elements like heart rate speed and height data. There is also support for Multi Sport Activities and Fitness Plus. Apple’s subscription-based exercise app is also getting new changes to support activities like rowing, treadmill workouts and cycling.
The Health app on Apple Watches now also supports adding medicines. Sleep Tracking now gives you a comparison chart to give you more information. Other changes include more personalization options and a new watchface. Apple’s watchOS 9 will support Apple Watch Series 4 and above. You’ll need at least an iPhone 8 to work on iOS 16 to use it.
