Passkey: ‘Passkey’ is the best way to change the good old password. But why passkey for password. Because they are easy to use and are much more secure than normal passwords. Apple first introduced it with iOS 16. It can be expected that Google will include it in Android sooner or later.
Live text in video: We know users can copy text from photos on Android using Google Lens, and Apple was late in adopting it. But in iOS 16 you can copy text from video. All you have to do is pause the video and select the text to copy, translate or share. This feature is still not available in Android 13 or any third party.
Safety Check: Apple’s Safety Check feature is not the same as the Safety Check available on Pixel. Both are good in their own right, but the one in iOS 16 is just right for people with domestic abuse, while the Pixel is for when users are alone. Safety Check in iOS 16 revokes and resets privacy access granted by users to others in case of domestic violence. The security check for iOS is different as compared to Android or Pixel.
To edit or undo a message: The option to delete messages is available in WhatsApp, Telegram and many other apps. But there is no such feature for the in-built messaging app on Android. However, in iOS 16, Messages app users get the option to undo a message. There is even an option to edit the message. None of them are available on the Messages app on Android.
Track your medicine: Users can now manage their medicines using the Health app in iOS 16. You can set a specific time for a medicine, so that you will get information about taking that medicine. You can still use third-party apps but there is no such in-built feature in Android 13.
Unit Conversions: Although this is not a huge feature, but it is a very useful feature. In iOS 16, users can convert units within Photos, Notes, Messages and other apps. All you have to do is tap on the unit and the converted unit pops up. Meanwhile on Android you have to use Google Lens app for unit conversion which is not as easy as unit conversion in iOS.
Lockdown Mode: This is a good security mode that limits the function and enhances the security to prevent any spyware attack. You will not find such security features in any Android smartphone.
