A YouTuber has said that the woman kept the phone near her pillow while sleeping, after which it exploded. It is not known at the moment whether the alleged Redmi 6A was damaged earlier or was put on charging during the incident. This information has been made on Twitter. A person tagging RedmiIndia, manukumarjain, s_anuj wrote that her aunt has died and she was using Redmi 6A. She was sleeping during the incident and she kept the phone on the pillow side near her face and after some time her phone exploded. Xiaomi has commented on this matter. The company has said that the reasons for the battery explosion are being investigated. The support page of Xiaomi India said, “In Xiaomi India, the safety of the customers is of utmost importance. We take such matters seriously. We are trying to contact the family along with investigating the matter. We stand with the family in this hour. We will do any kind of help.”
