As your monthly transactions are on paper and you want that data in your Excel sheet, you may have to manually enter each piece of data in the spreadsheet, but you can save some time by using the picture to data feature. .

How Data From Picture Feature Works: This feature scans a photo and analyzes it to find the required data. Like a printed value table in a magazine, a printout of financial transactions and even a screenshot of the table from a website. Through this, you can edit any data you search and then everything is imported into your spreadsheet. You can save your time by using these tips. Can reduce mistakes and get rid of tasks that delay time.

Importing data from websites:

This method can be used on your desktop Windows and Mac Android and iOS devices. You have to open the spreadsheet into which you want to import the data. Click on the Data tab on the top menu bar. Select the Get External Data option. Click on web option. Now paste the link of the website from which you want to extract the data. Select the tables you want to import from the options. Click on the Import button. Import data from photos

However, it is worth noting that this option is not available on Windows, but you can do it on Mac, iOS and Android apps. Open the Excel app on your iOS or Android device and sign in to your account. Click on the Data from Photos icon. Click on photo option. Wait for the analysis and check the mistakes. Click on the Import button.

Importing data from printout:

This option is not available on the desktop version of MS Excel. However, you can do this on your Android or iOS mobile app that lets you scan or click on photos of documents directly from the scanner of the app. Open the MS Excel app on your Android or iOS device. Tap the little camera icon at the bottom of the sheet. Click on the photo of the printout data from which you want to extract the data. Wait for the analysis, tap on Open and review the mistakes. Tap on the Import Data button. After using the app to import data from photos, you can work on this spreadsheet on your Windows PC.
